David Nwaba, David Nouvaba, 6 feet 4 inches (193 cm), plays as a shooting guard (SG). He was born in Los Angeles, the second largest city in the United States in California, USA in January 1993. He was produced by California State Polytechnic University. He was unfortunately defeated in the 2016 NBA Draft. In March 2017, he signed a 10-day short contract with the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent, thus entering the NBA.

David Nouba has excellent athletic ability, active and tough defense, full of defensive tension and oppression, timely repair and assist defense, strong physical confrontation ability, can defend multiple positions, can defend from No. 1 to No. 3, and sometimes even defend No. 4, with excellent offensive rebounds and strong impact power at the basket. He dares to hold the ball and attack the frame, has excellent ending ability at the basket. He is good at stealing and is very active in fast breaks. He is very good at disrupting battles. He often can counterattack the opponent's basket to complete the score. He is an important member of the team's offensive and defensive transformation.

However, three-pointers are Nouba's obvious shortcomings. In his NBA career in the past six seasons, David Nouba has played for five teams, namely Lakers (2017.3-2017.7), Bulls (2017-2018), Cavaliers (2018-2019), Nets (2019-2020), and Rockets (2020-2022). He played in a total of 237 games in the regular season, including 50 starts, averaging 19.3 minutes per game, scoring 6.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.4 blocks, and failed to get a chance to play in the playoffs, but in the regular season, he also had some good game performances.

On February 22, 2021, in the Houston Rockets lost to the Chicago Bulls at 100:120 at home, David Nouba played for 27 minutes on the bench, making 9 of 16 shots (including 1 of 3 three-pointers), and 3 of 5 free throws, scoring the highest single-game 22 points in the NBA career, plus 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

David Nouba was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the offseason, but was later sacked. He went to the NBA Development League to compete. In October 2023, he signed with the Detroit Pistons with a one-year contract, but was later sacked and returned to the NBA Development League. From 2024 to the present, he has played in the Japanese League and performed well, but considering his age and style of play, he should have no chance to return to the NBA.
