Powell: I want to combine Kobe’s mentality and Wade’s skills into my playing style

November 3 News Recently, Powell talked about his childhood idol Wade in an interview with EssentiallySports.

"I regard Wade as my idol because of his style of play. His impact, aggression, size and athletic ability all make me feel that I can imitate. I wanted to combine Kobe's mentality and Wade's skills into my own style. Being able to wear his former jersey and even use his locker, these moments are really dreamy." Powell said.

When talking about whether he had contact with Wade after coming to the Heat, Powell said: "Yes, we have met in Europe. He has also mentioned me on podcasts before, and recalled my experience playing against him when I was young. After the opening of this season, I also saw him praising me on social media. This is so cool to me - even though I have played for 11 years, I am still the kid who loves basketball in my heart."
