The shooting percentage is 30%! Is the status of the Timberwolves veteran in the backcourt really worrying?

In a previous NBA Western Conference semi-finals G4, the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Golden State Warriors who played at home 117-110 again. After this game, the Timberwolves widened the total score of the series to 3-1 and won the match point; while the Warriors encountered a huge crisis, it seemed that they were on the verge of being eliminated.

Although the Timberwolves won the victory relatively smoothly, the team's backcourt veteran Mike Conley's performance is actually a bit worrying. Conley played 29 minutes and 23 seconds in the game, made 2 of 9 shots, 2 of 6 shots from outside the three-point line, 5 of 5 free throws, scored 11 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists, and had 2 fouls, with the highest positive and negative value of +17 in the game. Conley still felt poor on the offensive end and still did not perform as well as his due level. His scoring ability and shooting ability have not returned to a normal level. Conley has shown certain passing ability and organizational ability. He is also conscientious on the defensive end, but such performance is actually not exactly matched everyone's expectations. As the core figure of the team, he should have done better offense when other players have restrained a lot of defense, but he has not done this.

In the NBA regular season this season, Conley played 71 games in 82 games, averaging 24.7 minutes per game, averaging 8.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.2 blocks, and 1.1 turnovers and 1.6 fouls. He shot 40% from the field, 41% from three-point shooting percentage and 90% from free throws. In the playoffs, Conley averaged 24.1 minutes in the first nine games, with averaging 5.8 points, 3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.1 blocks, 0.7 turnovers and 1.4 fouls, shooting percentage of 30.4%, three-point shooting percentage of 30.3%, and free throw shooting percentage of 88.9%.

It is no exaggeration to say that although the Timberwolves have made great progress in the playoffs, Conley's performance can be described as a terrible sight. Conley's data showed a significant decline compared to the regular season stage. Considering that he has a lot of playing time, such performance is obviously unacceptable. The most important thing is that Conley's performance in such a terrible offensive efficiency while holding many opportunities is completely incomprehensible. The performances of other Timberwolves players are actually very dazzling, which to a certain extent conceals Conley's poor condition. But it is obvious that if the Timberwolves advance in this round, they will face a stronger opponent in the future. If Conley can only perform like this, the Timberwolves will really face huge trouble.
