1 goal and 4 assists! Grealish: I know what I can bring to Everton and want to contribute more

October 15th Everton player Grealish accepted an interview and talked about his performance, the team's home state, and scoring the first goal for the club.

Do you think you will perform better in the future?

Yes, of course. I think I know what I can bring to the table. I know how good I am. I want to contribute more. So far I have four assists and one goal, and it's only October. Who knows? Hopefully by the end of the season I can get more data and make the fans happy.

What do you think of the team’s impressive start in their new home stadium?

This is very important. I think to do well in the Premier League you have to make your home ground a tough place for away teams and we have certainly done that this season.

We are undefeated here. It's great and hopefully we can keep it going because that's what we want to do. We want to make it difficult for the away team here. We have fans with us and that's how it should be.

How does it feel to score your first goal for Everton?

Great. It feels so good to score here. You know, there's something crazy? In the last few home games, when the score was still tied, I always said to myself around the 85th minute: "Come on, Grealish. Try to score goals. Imagine what would happen if you scored now."

I did this against Villa and West Ham United, but failed to score. So today I said the same thing to myself again and I scored. I ran towards the stands where my parents were, so it felt great. This goal is dedicated to all the Everton fans who welcomed me here so warmly.
