The Demon is a point-handling centre-back who Mikel Arteta has placed him on the 30-man roster in the Asian preseason.

Arteta coaches young centre-back under the age of 16. This opportunity will see the teenager fight alongside his idol William Saliba, who may even get some playtime with the French ace in Wednesday’s 12:30 noon against AC Milan.

Salmon is now over 5 feet 9 inches tall, and Arteta emphasizes that his physical fitness at such a young age has been impressive.

Salmon is only 16 on August 29, and has developed rapidly in the past year and has gained weight, but has not delayed his performance on the court, and has performed well in the U-18 youth team and won his first appearance at the Emirates Stadium in the FA Youth Cup against Manchester United.

Last season, he quickly entered the U21 youth team and despite being a student, he played 5 games in the U21 League. Salmon also made two appearances in the UEFA Youth League and was drafted to England’s Under-16 national team.

He had elegant ball-handling, running and excellent game reading skills during the game, which attracted Arteta's attention and brought him to the Gunners' pre-tour training camp, to La Manga, Spain, and now to the Far East.

Salmon, who recently signed a two-year scholarship agreement with the North Londoner, realized the similarities between his game and Arteta's best technical centre-back, Saliba. The young man said: "I admire William Saliba very much, he is a good player. I have many traits similar to him, so I admire him very much."
