July 12th News Crystal Palace Club officially issued an announcement in response to the disqualification of UEFA's UEFA Cup.
Crystal Palace Football Club is extremely disappointed that UEFA's decision to cancel our UEFA qualifying for the UEFA Cup.
Everyone clearly sees that we have never participated and are never affiliated with any multi-club operation system. In addition, with the transaction of Eagle Football's stake to Woody Johnson, there will be no possibility of a conflict of interest at the beginning of the game.
We will continue to appeal to UEFA and promote a fair ruling to ensure that the club can participate in the UEFA Cup in a legal capacity. At the same time, we are seeking legal advice to assess all options including appeals to the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Club Chairman Steve Parrish said in an interview with Sky Sports:
"We are most distressed by the fans. I think all club fans should be sad for us because participating in the European game is everyone's dream. "
"I feel heartbroken for the players, fans and staff. This is a dark day in the football world. "
"I believe that most sensible fans can see that this is a serious institutional injustice for Crystal Palace. "
"I am desperate to see that someone can correct this mistake. Because I believe - including UEFA - there is no People are willing to see clubs that are legally qualified to participate are turned away for absurd technical terms. "
"We are evaluating all options. We hope that someone will intervene in the mediation process, and we think that Chairman Cheferin or others are capable of intervening. "
"This rule is simply unfulfilled to us. The current rules require that the major shareholders of Crystal Palace must take certain actions, but Eagle Football, as minority shareholders, need to sell shares or hand them over to trust—and we have no legal authority to force them to do so. This alone is completely illogical. "
