May 19 Chelsea beat Manchester United with a header from Cucurella, with assists from Rees James.
Cukurelia said this is the direction he and the team worked at Cobham training base all season: "We have been practicing this style of play in training. He knew he needed to pass the ball to that position, and I knew I needed to run to that position. This is the goal we worked hard all week."
"I'm so happy that the team deserves this moment. It's true that we struggled a little, and we didn't perform well at the start of the game, but we knew we had to stick with it, and then we had a chance to score and win the game. We need to go all out in the last few weeks and put in the last effort to finish the season strongly."
