In a fan vote, the team that Manchester United won the triple-championship (Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League) in 1999 defeated their archenemy Liverpool and was named the greatest football team of all time.

The iconic team under Sir Ferguson narrowly defeated the Barcelona team during Guardiola, which was known for his "tiki-taka" pass control style, and topped the list.

Brazil's 1970 World Cup champions ranked third, while Liverpool's team dominated football from 1975 to 1984 ranked fourth, adding another honor to its glorious decade.

The organizer will present the top 16 teams in the form of knockout matches, allowing fans to imagine which team can ultimately win and win the championship.

This vote, which was participated by 2,000 football enthusiasts, covers clubs and national teams, and Real Madrid has two teams from different periods to the top 20.

Arsenal's "invincible teacher" and Manchester City's triple-champion team also represent English football.

This study was commissioned by OLBG, which created a knockout simulation tool with the top 16 teams for fans to participate and predict the ultimate winner.

The brand's football editor Jack Ashton commented: "Over the years, there have been some incredible great teams, both clubs and national teams."

"Club teams usually have a period of dominance that lasts for five or six years, while national teams usually shine in a particular competition. Given the global influence of the World Cup, it's no wonder Brazil's golden age in the 1970s is still so missed."

Other teams that ranked in the top 20 include: Spain, which dominated football from 2008 to 2012, won the European Cup and 2010 World Cup championships, and France, which won the World Cup and European Cup doubles between 1998 and 2000.

The survey found that 70% of respondents said that one or more teams on the list greatly affected their overall enthusiasm for football. Reasons include their matches being pleasing to the eye (73%), their teamwork is inspiring (66%), or their unique game style (60%).

In the historical "club or national team" competition, 44% of fans prefer club events.

According to OnePoll.com, tradition and history (48%) are the main reasons. In addition, 36% of fans prefer their club to win trophy, while 26% of fans prefer to win the national team.

In a hypothetical best national team against best club team, fans predicted that it would be a close match with the votes slightly leaning towards the club side (41% vs 39%).

When asked about the key factors that make top teams, fans think the most important are: skills and talent (64%), excellent teamwork (61%), and stability (56%).

Jack Ashton added: "Football is more than just statistics or trophys - it's about memory, passion, and the moments that make us fall in love with the sport."
