adidas' design is a makeover of the club's iconic black and white look, with bias and varied stripes to pay tribute to Italian fashion. The new jersey also incorporates contrasting details, with club badges, stars, Adidas logos and sleeves all in pink. Pink, a unique part of the club's history. It has been a major away color for Juventus for years, but it rarely appears on home jerseys.
More typical tertiary trim decorations, if included, are yellow, gold, blue, and even red, although the 2019/20 home jersey uses a pink stripe to separate the black and white halves. Founded in 1897, Juventus initially wore a pink jersey and a black tie, when organized football was still in its infancy, quite different from today.
Only after just a few short years, the club began to look for new jerseys when repeated washings faded the pink of these jerseys. British expatriate John Savage, who was a Juventus player at the time, contacted a friend at home to find out how to send some new jerseys to Italy. That friend was a Notts County fan, who played in black and white jerseys, so these were the jerseys they were sent.
In 2011, Notts County was one of the oldest existing teams in world football and the oldest in the English professional league, so Notts County was invited to open the Allianz Stadium in Turin. Juventus hopes to return to glory next season. The club has not won a Serie A title since the sudden end of nine consecutive championships five years ago.
