Neville must sign at least six players to choose Manchester United so Amorin has a chance next season

Manchester United coach Ruben Amorin and Sky Sports commentator Gary Neville.

Gary Neville insists that although Ruben Amorin and Jim Ratcliffe did not have a smooth start at Manchester United, it is too early to comment on them.

The Red Devils have a chance to win the trophy in the UEFA Champions League final against Tottenham on Wednesday, and if they win, they will also qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.

But Amorin admits that this is probably the "worst" team in Manchester United history, his side currently ranks 16th in the Premier League and has lost 18 of 37 games this season.

Rumored that Amorin could be fired or even resigned after the season ended, but Neville insisted he needed time to "integrate" and picked six players needed this summer.

"What they need to do now is to create some stability," Neville told The Athletic. "Off the court, there are many unstable factors for non-match personnel, and there are also many unstable factors on the court due to the change of head coaches and the changes in lineups. This situation must stop at some point, and they must integrate into the team of Reuben and let them develop themselves."

"I think this time next year, when we witness whether Reuben can form a successful team, we will know more. We will know more next Christmas, because I think Reuben needs to seize the opportunity of the second transfer window."

He needs a complete preseason training with the team to consolidate this system and game style. By October, November and December, we will know more, and I believe they will win more games than they are now.

"A major adjustment is required in the summer. At least five or six players are needed to change the direction of his game. At least two forwards, a midfielder, and surely two full-backs and a central defender. They need at least six players."

Reuben is very good at identifying players he wants to leave the club; this is clear to everyone. The club's mission is to take these players away and then bring in players he likes and he wants to stay on the team.

Ratcliffe took over football operations at Old Trafford over a year ago, but his start at Old Trafford was not going well.

The British billionaire made at least 17 mistakes during the implementation of a massive cost-cutting program.

Although Neville admitted that "two or three things were not going well", like Amorin, he thought it was too early to judge some of the owners.

"There is no doubt that there were two or three things he could have done differently in his first 12 months of being in charge of the team," Neville explained. “In fact, it’s such a huge club, there’s a lot to do, and when he took over, there were a lot of problems with the club, and I think it’s necessary to give him some time to make the club succeed again.”

“For ten years, Manchester United hasn’t reached the level they want, like winning the Premier League and the Champions League, so it’s a transitional period, and the new boss is building a new foundation.

“I always say it’s going to take three or four years to get something in, and he’s only 12 months, so we need to give him time.

"They are in the bud of stadium projects, training ground projects and new team building. It's hard to predict whether the project will be successful or failed in 12 months."

" There are two or three things that are not going well and not very popular, but also require massive changes.

"When you join a company that has basically failed for ten consecutive years and has bad signings, you will definitely disrupt the pace all the way. You may make some decisions that end up appearing a bit stiff, but the reality is that change is a must. This is absolutely a must. ”

Speaking of the key game against Tottenham Hotspur, Neville added: “This game is very important for both clubs and it makes me feel like my stomach is overwhelmed.

"It's not only from the trophy perspective, not only from the coach's perspective, but from the financial perspective; what this brings to both clubs in terms of attracting players, and how much money it will invest in the club.

"It makes me a little disgusting. ”
