Pull Net, May 31, Liverpool Football Club officially announced that it had officially signed 24-year-old Dutch right wingback Jeremy Flynnon from Leverkusen, and the two sides had signed a five-year contract. According to transfer expert Romano, Liverpool paid a transfer fee of 35 million euros for the deal and will be paid to Leverkusen in three installments.
Flynnon was born in Manchester City's youth training system and transferred to the Celtics for 380,000 euros in 2019. In the winter window of 2021, Leverkusen spent 11 million euros to recruit him. At Leverkusen, Flynnon grew up quickly. Last season, he played 30 times, scored 5 goals and sent 6 assists to help the team win the Bundesliga championship. Now he has a net worth of €50 million in Germany's Transfer Market. This time, Liverpool signed him for a fee lower than his value, which was regarded as a great deal by the outside world.
This signing is Liverpool's first signing this summer, mainly to fill the vacancy after Trent Alexander-Arnold left the team. Arnold has previously confirmed to join Real Madrid by free agents. In the new season, Flynnon is expected to form a tacit cooperation with Salah on the right, adding vitality to Liverpool's offense.
It is worth mentioning that Liverpool and Leverkusen's negotiations are progressing rapidly. After determining interest in Flynn Poon, Liverpool quickly reached a personal agreement with the players, which subsequently activates the liquidated damages clause in its contract. After completing the physical examination, both parties formally signed the transaction documents. Now that the transfer fee payment method is determined, the transfer has been settled.
With Flynnon joining, Liverpool fans are full of expectations for the new season. The club will also continue to promote the recruitment work. According to previous reports from Romano, Liverpool and Leverkusen have made smooth progress in transfer negotiations on German midfielder Florian Werz, and the two sides are getting closer to reaching an agreement. Liverpool believes that Wierz's joining is only a matter of time.
