Hupu September 15th, the men's basketball European Championship final, Germany defeated Türkiye 88-83 and won the European Championship championship! After the game, Dennis Schroeder was interviewed.
Schroeder said: "Everyone calls us the 'golden generation'. I remember that in the 2019 World Cup, we were eliminated in the first round, and everyone in the locker room was very disappointed. We continued to work hard on this basis, and the whole team remained consistent. I was appointed as the captain. Everyone expressed respect and began to work in the same direction, and jointly pursued the ultimate goal: to win a gold medal. We won the bronze medal in the 2022 European Championships, the World Cup in 2023, and then the Olympics Four, we won the championship again this summer! I feel very honored to be able to represent the German team. It feels great to be with them every summer. That's why I want to keep playing for the country until I was 40!"
Schroeder continued: "However, we will have a lot of good young people coming up, and that's what we are working on! I've been here for 11-12 years and are committed to making Germany famous all over the world and inspiring young people to play basketball. That's the main goal of all of this."
