July 19th According to Sky Sports reporter DharmeshSheth, Barcelona and Manchester United reached a broad principled agreement on the introduction of Rashford. Negotiations are underway about the loan of Rashford with the option of buying out.
It is understood that the discussion will focus on the wage payment ratio and the compensation that may be involved if Barcelona does not implement the buyout option.
Rashford once publicly expressed his hope to play for Barcelona.
Juventus has also discussed the conditions for the transaction.
Manchester United has shown creativity in the past when players leave the team, especially in the deals to loan Sancho to Dortmund in 2024 and last season to Chelsea.
When Sancho played at Dortmund, Manchester United earned the spread on their wages through an incentive payment structure.
In addition, when Chelsea failed to fulfill their mandatory buyout obligations early this summer, Manchester United received a fine of £5 million they paid.
Rashford was loaned to Villa in the second half of last season.
