Three German commentators for the World Cup: Klopp + Muller; Xiaozhu; Mertesacker + Cramer

Former Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp (58 years old) has just announced that he has joined Deutsche Telekom’s MagentaTV team. It's a return to TV commentary for the current global head of football at Red Bull.

From 2005 to 2008, he served as a football commentator for German TV 2, commentating on the 2006 World Cup and the 2008 European Cup. At that time, he was co-narrating with host Johannes B. Kerner, and now the two will renew their relationship.

"I'm really looking forward to experiencing this World Cup as a specialist again," Klopp said. "At the same time, I also know that this marathon event will bring its own unique challenges."

The platform also hired Thomas Muller (36 years old), who plays for the Vancouver Whitecaps and is a professional player in Major League Soccer (MLS). He is very familiar with the United States and Canada, the World Cup hosts.

German TV station sent 2014 World Cup champion Bastian Schweinsteiger (41 years old). His commentator contract expires in 2027.

In addition, former goalkeeper Almuth Schulte (34 years old) has also joined the commentary lineup of this "first" TV station. Other alternatives include former players such as Thomas Hitzlsperger (43 years old).
