October 9th: In the NBA preseason game, the Rockets defeated the Jazz 140-127.

In this campaign, Rockets star Shen Jing played with ease, and his ability to organize and connect was comparable to that of a core defender. He played 27 minutes and 57 seconds, making 5 of 8 shots (0 of 1 from three-point range), 3 of 3 free throws, 13 points, 5 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals. He made only 1 turnover and had a plus-minus of +6.

Rockets reporter Bradeaux posted the total personal statistics of Shen Jing's first two preseason games: 32 points, 19 assists (only 2 turnovers), 10 rebounds, 10 of 16 shooting, 2 of 3 three-pointers, 10 of 10 free throws, plus/minus +24! This is simply outrageous!
