Scout questioned the Cavaliers interest in James

An NBA scout talked about the rumors of a deal between the Cavaliers and James in an interview with US media Hoops Wire.
The scout said: "I have always heard that the Cavaliers have little interest in James, and even if there are, they are pitifully few. So I'm not sure where that report came from and who is the source? Ritchie Paul's cleaning lady?"
"I think 40-year-old LeBron is not their target. He still performs well most nights, at least on the offensive end, but there are countless reasons for him to be brought in. The first thing is that his contract amount is about $53 million."
Previously, James' agent Ritchie Paul revealed to ESPN that four teams contacted him to discuss potential James deals, and the Cavaliers were allegedly among them.
But the scout added that it is important to remember that Ritchie Paul is not the Lakers' trade decision-maker. If the Lakers want to trade James, it is the responsibility of Pelinka, the president of basketball operations.
"Listen, James and Ritchie Paul can do whatever they want to play this game, but who cares if the team contacts Ritchie Paul? He can't make a trade decision. Of course, he can ask for a trade, or give the Lakers the option of a team that James is willing to play in that situation. But it's all just that James's camp is making a fuss about something, who knows what it is for?"
"He won't go anywhere, and even if he really wants to leave, he won't go to Cleveland. The Cavaliers don't need him. They're building a very good team there. And I don't think he can take the Cavaliers to the next level at this stage of his career."
