Van Jordan takes over CJ McCollum's position
National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) announced today that Fred Van Vreet was elected as NBPA Chairman at the annual summer meeting of the Board of Players' Representatives. Van Jordan's four-year term will begin immediately.

"It is really an honor to be elected by my peers as the chairman of the NBPA and I look forward to continuing to speak out in the best interests of all members," VanVleet said. “I know the complexity and challenges players face at all levels of their NBA journey and I am committed to taking on this role with the passion, dignity and dedication that every player deserves.”
Van Villet is a veteran with nine years of NBA experience and currently the Houston Rockets guard who started his career in 2016 as an underdraft. He rose in the G League and eventually became a key member of the 2019 NBA champion Toronto Raptors and a 2022 NBA All-Star. Outside the court, VanVleet is committed to charity and advocacy. He founded the VanVleet Family Foundation (VFF), which aims to increase youth opportunities and exposure through educational opportunities, sports programs and career development. As a father of three, VanVleet demonstrated his leadership and commitment both on and off the court.
