"Basketball is life." James Harden said after completing an ultimate personal performance.

On November 23, James Harden hit a career-record 10 three-pointers against the Charlotte Hornets and scored 55 points, helping the Clippers win 131-116. The 55 points set a new single-game scoring record in the history of the Clippers. This was also Harden's 25th 50+ game in his 17-year career, tying Kobe for third in history. The previous Clippers scoring record was 52 points held by Charles Smith and Bob McAdoo.

In this battle, the 36-year-old Harden broke out in the first quarter, hitting 5 three-pointers and scoring 27 points in a single quarter, helping the team build a lead. The Hornets started hot, hitting seven of their first eight shots, but were quickly overtaken by the Clippers. After halftime, Harden had scored a league-high 35 points in a half this season.

In the third quarter, Harden hit his eighth three-pointer of the game, and it was an iconic step-back three-pointer, which caused Diabat to foul, completing 3+1! That goal completely ignited the game, and Harden also successfully led the Clippers to victory, ending a three-game losing streak.

In the end, Harden scored 55 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, and 2 turnovers. He made 17 of 26 shots, 10 of 16 three-pointers, and 11 of 14 free throws. The 55 points were not only the 11th-highest single-game score in Harden's career, but also tied him with Jokic and Alexander to become the player with the highest single-game score this season.

It is worth mentioning that Harden became the first player in NBA history to maintain a single-game scoring record in team history for multiple teams. His career high was 61 points, which was also the Rockets' single-game scoring record.
