Hupu News on October 8, Everton officially announced that James Tarkovsky has renewed his contract with Everton for two years until the end of June 2028.
The 32-year-old defender has become a key figure for the Blues since joining on a free transfer from Burnley in the summer of 2022, making 128 appearances in all competitions and becoming the club's vice-captain.
After signing the contract extension, Tarkovsky said he was proud to represent a "proud and genuine" fan base on the pitch, while also setting lofty ambitions for the Toffees to start a promising new chapter.
"I'm really excited and proud to be an Everton player and continue this journey.
It's been a crazy few years, with some lows and some highs. We've managed to get through those tough times and hopefully now we have a more positive and exciting future ahead.
I think from the start of this season our goals have been set.
So far, I've enjoyed every minute of working under the manager (David Moyes). He's set the direction for the club. The results and performances have improved significantly during his time and the reason I signed is because I want to be part of that and take it forward."
