October 8 Post reported that the architects who designed the new Everton stadium are interested in creating a new home stadium for Birmingham City.

American architect Dan Metz designed the iconic Bramley Moore Marina Stadium for Premier League team Everton on the Mersey River. Although Everton has only moved into the 52,769-person venue this season, its unique acoustic design and historical elements have won wide acclaim.

The Daily Mail revealed that Mays is now turning its attention to designing a new modern stadium for compatriot Tom Brady and his partners and Blues bosses. NFL legend Brady and Tom Wagner from Knighthead plan to build a new sports area in Birmingham, which is expected to cost billions of pounds, including a sports campus and training facilities.

At the heart of the program is a stadium with a capacity of 62,000 people for this ambitious Championship club. Metz, who has led the design of several new venues in North America, Asia and Europe, hopes to take over the project and turn it into reality.

At the SVB meeting held today in Villa Park, Metz announced that his company AECOM is fighting for this new sports area and stadium project. He revealed in a discussion with deputies about Hill Dickinson Stadium in Everton: "There is obviously a Birmingham Stadium project, and we are fighting for it."

Mes' candor may be a bit unusual, as confidentiality agreements and caution are often part of the stadium design tender process. In June this year, Wagner said in an interview with BBC Sports that his vision is to "create a unique entertainment venue in the world." He also said the 62,000-seat stadium and 15,000-seat arena will be able to host a variety of international events, not just soccer, but American football and rugby.

Birmingham City said the new stadium will double its capacity than the current St Andrews stadium and is equipped with retractable lawns to increase frequency of use, including concerts.

A year after the acquisition in 2023, Brady and Wagner's Knighthead purchased 48 acres of Birmingham Roller Skating Racing, less than a mile from St Andrews Stadium and downtown. The land is owned by the municipal council and the government has allocated more than £17 million for restoration.

Wagner estimates the cost of the project to be between £2 billion and £3 billion and hopes that the new stadium will be put into operation in the 2030-31 season.
