Every article: Europe’s doors are closed to Neymar, MLS is a viable destination

Hupu, October 23 News Recently, Santos management has come forward to express its position, aiming to inject optimism into fans who are deeply disappointed with the team's instability. There were serious concerns that the team might be relegated in the same year they had just returned to the top flight of Brazilian football. President Marcelo Teixeira said: "The team is improving; we are focused on the final stage of the season where we will definitely recover from the recent defeat."

When Neymar returned to Santos in early February, he signed a five-month contract until June 30. Due to his failure to play consistently, his contract with Santos was eventually extended for six months until the end of December. Discussions about his future are therefore now on the agenda. Neither Neymar nor his father have publicly stated their future plans.

At present, the door to European football has been closed to Neymar, and no one is willing to bet on a player who has suffered three muscle injuries since March. A viable option for Neymar would be to head to MLS, a destination that has always attracted his interest. Inter Miami have expressed interest in signing the Brazilian star and reorganizing his trio with Messi and Suarez. The possibility of signing Neymar is real as Busquets and Alba have decided to hang up their boots and Inter Miami has two designated player spots open in 2026.

But Santos still believes that their No. 10 will not leave the team in the short term and will continue his recovery plan with a view to participating in the last World Cup of his career next summer. Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti has made it clear: he needs the striker, but only if his body is in optimal preparation.
