Hupu August 5th According to European media BasketNews, Bruno Fernando revealed that he was extremely frustrated at Real Madrid at the end of the season and admitted that he had a breakdown in the series against Unicaja in the Spanish Basketball League semi-finals.
Former NBA center Fernando said after signing with Real Madrid midway last season that the road to adapting to European basketball is not smooth.
The 26-year-old Angola center has been having trouble finding form this year, and at the end of the season he revealed that he was very frustrated that he could not integrate into European basketball and clubs.
A moment when he played against Malaga Yunicaha in the semi-finals, he pushed this frustration to the forefront.
"At the end of the season, I was frustrated by many situations. But then again, it was just basketball, both good and bad, right?"
"That was an explosion of extremely frustration that had been backlogged for a long time, and it had nothing to do with not shooting or not grabbing rebounds. It was because I needed to release more personal emotions so that I could continue to work hard and find a better self."
"That happened last night, but I recovered the next day." Fernando said in an interview with Effi.
Since joining Real Madrid in January this year, Fernando has played 12 games, averaging 5.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game, playing 13 minutes per game.
Fernando will continue to stay at Real Madrid next season, as his contract with the club will not expire until the end of the 2025-26 season.
