Former Mayor: I think Ronaldo can make Valladolid great, now I m very disappointed

May 26th According to the Ass, former mayor Oscar Puente expressed great disappointment after Ronaldo announced the sale of Valladolid club.

After Ronaldo announced the sale of Valladolid Club yesterday afternoon, reactions from all walks of life have been constantly being carried out. One of the most anticipated reactions came from former mayor and current Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility Oscar Puente.

It should be recalled that Puente's relationship with the Brazilian star has undergone a change from intimacy to hostility in less than seven years. When Ronaldo came to the city and took over the club in 2018, the relationship between the two sides was very harmonious.

However, before and after the recent municipal elections, both sides began to attack each other. Ronaldo's team supported the other side in that election, even slamming the government, which was then led by Puente.

Puente lost the election, and the new mayor promised to build a "mini Bernabeu" stadium and invested 25 million euros. This led to Puente not signing an agreement that had been negotiating for three years, making the land for the expansion of the Sports City untransferable.

Last night, after learning about the sale, Puente stated on his X account that Ronaldo's experience at Valladolid was one of the biggest disappointments in his life: "When he arrived, I was full of hope. I felt that a superstar like him could follow my beloved team and hope to make it grow was a dream. I think he had everything that made Valladolid great, and my disappointment was proportional to the hope at that time."

As we all know, Puente is a loyal fan of Valladolid. Over the past year, especially recently, he, like other fans, has been suffering from the situation of the club and the neglect of Ronaldo and his team.
