Hupu, September 24, Arsenal loaned a midfielder, Fabio Vieira, who played for Hamburg this season, was interviewed by Sports Photos.

Viela grew up in the town of Argoncile in the city of Santa Maria da Fera, with a population of 8,181 and is about 30 kilometers south of Porto. Therefore, he has been a loyal fan of Porto since he was a child. In order to one day be able to play for this club, he went against his father's wishes since he was a child.

Background: At the age of seven, Vieira participated in a famous youth championship with the city of Santa Maria dafera and was spotted by major Portuguese clubs. Benfica and Portugal Sports contacted Vieira's father until the end, Porto was late.

"I was alone in the kitchen and the phone rang. I shouldn't have answered my dad's phone because he wasn't there. But I knew what was going on, but I still answered. I still remember calling from Benfica or Sporting Lisbon. I said: No, no, I'm going to Porto.

This is a club I have always loved and I grew up with it. I have to thank this club.

I still remember having some difficulties when I was young, especially physical problems. Many players are older than me. But even as a child, my football talent was very high. My youth coaches saw this and supported me."

Transfer to Hamburg should help Vieira regain her former strength. This main midfielder who won the second place in the U21 Europa League for Portugal, of course, has his own ambitions.

"Of course, my wish is to participate in the 2026 World Cup. In recent seasons, I have been plagued by injuries. So it is very important for me to play for Hamburg and be able to play in the Bundesliga, so that I can show my strength on the court and constantly increase my confidence, so as to help the team as much as possible."

Just like he played in the game against Heidenheim 2-1 at the People's Park Stadium.

"This game is great. The support from the fans is incredible. After two losses, this victory means a lot to us and it regains our confidence as both the team and the club. I am very happy about it. We will continue to move forward."

The Hamburg midfielder knows how to help the team:

"I'm not old, but I've accumulated important experience in the Premier League and have experienced a lot in my career. I'm here to advise my teammates on the court, and also through excellent performances. But in the end, we always need to work together to win the game."

It's worth mentioning that Vieira said his role model is Ronaldo and Messi.

"Cristiano, because he is also a Portuguese, I learned a lot from him. When international games were going on, he reported to the national team (first team), and when I played for the U21 national team, he came to us more often and tried to keep in touch with us. He suggested that we train hard and listen to the coach.

Messi is also a talented player. I am also a left-footed player, so I will watch his game and learn how he looks for a shot after dribbling."
