Manchester United sells Anthony to Betis for 25 million, and the player gives up compensation! Sancho still needs to bear the salary for renting Villa to Manchester United

On the deadline of the summer transfer window on September 1, Manchester United, Real Betis and Anthony finally reached an agreement, and the transfer of 25 million euros (21.6 million pounds) was officially completed. The 25-year-old Brazilian right winger will go to Sevilla for a medical examination and then sign for a franchise. The team also keeps him a non-EU player quota and a No. 7 jersey from last season.

According to Italian transfer expert Fabricio Romano, Anthony's transfer fee is a fixed amount of 22 million euros, plus a floating clause of 3 million euros, and also includes a 50% second transfer profit sharing clause. This is the result of each concession between the three parties. Betis originally wanted to rent first and then buy, Manchester United originally wanted to transfer fees of 40 million euros, and Anthony originally wanted to pay 6 million euros for salary compensation, but in the end they all made a concession.

As early last Friday, Manchester United reached an agreement with Betis on Anthony's transfer fee, agreeing that Anthony will return to La Liga to play, and the "compass" is ready to leave for a physical examination. But new differences have emerged on the issue of millions of pounds salary cuts Anthony may face after the transfer, resulting in the failure of the transaction in recent days.

Anthony's contract with Manchester United is two years left, with a base salary of £6 million, and the winger has been seeking that the two clubs can find ways to ensure that the difference in his €4 million after the transfer is compensated.

Now, Anthony has given up part of his interest and agreed to a direct salary cut transfer. Neither Manchester United nor Betis need to pay any payment to the player. After falling out of favor with the Red Devils, Anthony performed well on loan while Betis, scoring nine goals and five assists in 26 games, helping Manuel Pellegrini's side qualify for the UEFA Cup in La Liga and reach the UEFA League final.

Now, Anthony is able to return to Betis, who enjoys football; Manchester United can get a transfer fee and eliminate his £200,000 weekly salary; Betis signs the players he wants within his financial resources, achieving a win-win situation.

Of course, in terms of the actual difference in transfer fees, Manchester United suffered a serious loss. In August 2022, Anthony joined Manchester United coached by Tenhager, with a total transfer value of 100 million euros. Now only 25 million euros are recovered. If you want to completely make up for the difference, Anthony's next transfer will need to make up for as much as 150 million euros, that is, the transfer fee will be 175 million euros!

Shortly after completing the Anthony deal, Manchester United achieved results in another negotiation, with 25-year-old England winger Jaden Sancho to rent to Aston Villa this season. Romano introduced that Villa will bear part of Sancho's 250,000 pounds weekly salary, similar to Rashford in the second half of last season. Manchester United would rather sell Sancho for a permanent transfer, but the player rejected the offer from Serie A and Roma. Now the club can only settle for the second best and strive to lose less wages.

Sancho's contract with Manchester United expires after the end of this season, but if Villa is willing to buy out the player after the loan expires, Manchester United has the option to renew his contract until June 2027 and can be activated in January next year.

So far, Manchester United cleaned up four of Amorin's unwanted locker room "Five Rats", Rashford, Garnacho, Anthony and Sancho, leaving only the forgotten left back Terrell Marasia to deal with. The 26-year-old Dutchman is believed to be rented out to La Liga promoted Elche. With the loan fee for Hoylund to rent Naples, the club received a transfer fee of 76 million euros this summer.
