Mirror: No European top team is willing to meet Sancho s salary level, he is most likely to go to Saudi Arabia

June 3: Sancho was returned by Chelsea, and he had no future in Old Trafford. The Mirror exclusively reports on the situation facing Sancho.

Although Maresca wants to keep Sancho, Chelsea executives are unwilling to meet the players' salary requirements, which means matching his weekly salary level of £300,000 at Stamford Bridge. Manchester United has been involved in a discussion about whether they are willing to pay the rest of his contract, which will expire next summer.

However, Manchester United finally chose not to intervene in the matter and decided to charge the Blues a £5 million penalty and then sell Sancho to other clubs. Manchester United still owes Dortmund about £17 million in transfer fees, which is part of the £75 million transfer fee in 2021.

No top European clubs are willing to sign Sancho at his current salary level, and his refusal to cut his salary at Chelsea also shows that he still hopes to maintain his current income level at Manchester United. United hopes to raise more money for summer rebuild by selling players, and Sancho is one of the players they hope to sell.

At present, it seems that Sancho's most likely destination is the Saudi League, and Riyadh Crescent, Jeddah United and Riyadh Victory are all interested in him. Moreover, Sancho has connections with important Saudi people, which may lead to the transfer. The Red Devils hope that Saudi Arabia's offer will be at least comparable to the £25 million buyout fee they signed with Chelsea.

However, the £5 million liquidated damages that Manchester United has received give them some flexibility in their budget. The money could be used to subsidize Sancho's wages at other clubs if they fail to reach a deal with Saudi big buyers.

Now Sancho has only the last year left for his contract, and Manchester United doesn't want to loan him out this year and then let the players leave for free next summer. Of course, Sancho himself does not reject this idea, because it means he can choose his next home freely next summer.
