Announcement

Leeds United Club confirmed that it has reached an agreement with Patrick Bamford and the striker will leave this summer.

During the seven years of playing for the White Army, Bamford left Elland Road with two championships and two promotions, and he will always be part of our glorious history.

Banford joined from Middlesbrough in 2018 and quickly won the love of fans. During his time at Elland Road, he always wore the symbolic No. 9 jersey, scored many key goals and participated in countless unforgettable moments.

In his first start for the team, Bamford, who was only 24 years old at the time, scored in the England League Cup against Bolton; and his first league goal was also obtained against the same opponent. Under Bielsa's guidance, he scored double-digit goals in his debut season. Although we ended up with a playoff loss that season, a better story is still to come. In the second season, Patrick and his teammates were determined to make up for their regrets. In his first season game against Bristol City, he scored a goal, helping the team win 3-1, starting an unforgettable season.

Although the season was interrupted due to the epidemic, the White Army finally won the championship and returned to the Premier League after 16 years. Bamford scored 16 goals that season, which played a key role in the team's return.

In the 2020-21 season, 26-year-old Bamford ushered in another brilliant season. He scored consecutive goals in the team's first three games back to the top league, opponents were Liverpool, Fulham and Sheffield United, and then scored a hat-trick against Aston Villa away, helping the team win 3-0.

He has also contributed many wonderful goals and assists since then, and at the end of the season, he scored 17 goals. It also won him the call for Southgate and made his debut against Andorra.

After two more seasons at the highest level, Bamford once again aims to help Leeds United return to the Premier League. He won the championship again with the team last season, becoming a double champion engraved in the team's history, further consolidating his position.

His fighting spirit and fighting spirit on the court are exactly the same as his professional spirit and dedication to the community he showed off on the court. Patrick has been actively supporting important public welfare activities and causes and caring for fans in need in our area. He often participates in foundation activities and arranges some low-key and sincere interaction moments out of the public's sight.

People have never doubted the enthusiasm of Bamford to represent Leeds United and his respect for the club's badge of glory. He has given everything for the team, and the doors of Elland Road are always open for him.

Thank you, Patrick, I wish you all the best in the future. You will always be our double champion and always be a proud part of the club's history.
