According to Marca, Real Madrid's Rodrigo is rumored to have refused to play for the team due to conflicts with Jude Bellingham and other teammates. The report further pointed out that the Brazilian player was dissatisfied with the media hype surrounding Killian Mbappe and Bellingham's joining, which stole his popularity.

Although Real Madrid's offensive performance in their 4-3 loss to Barcelona last weekend, Rodrigo did not get a chance to play in the entire game. While Carlo Ancelotti said the Brazilian player was recovering from injury, Marca claimed Rodrigo had a dispute with his offensive partners.

Rodrigo was reportedly expected to be the main offensive core with Vinicius, but this season he was covered up by the performances of Killian Mbappe and Bellingham. Therefore, the Brazilian player felt marginalized in Carlo Ancelotti's tactical system and was reportedly willing to leave the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Although Bellingham and Mbappe reportedly did not offend Rodrigo, the Marca claimed that there was a misunderstanding between Rodrigo and Vinicius.

Among these rumors, Rodrigo remains Real Madrid's first choice for the right winger this season. In return, he contributed 13 goals and 10 assists in 50 games for Carlo Ancelotti's side.

Although his contract does not expire until June 2028, he is still on the signing target list for Manchester City and Arsenal.

After Real Madrid lost to Barcelona in the national derby on May 11, Carlo Ancelotti said there was no problem between him and Rodrigo. He claimed the Brazilian player was ill and failed to resume his game against Barcelona in time.

At a press conference after losing to Barcelona, Ancelotti said:

"Rodrigo has no problem. He is sick and tries to recover but is in a bad state, so he did not play."

In the game against Barcelona, Rodrigo was absent and Alda Guerre played as the right winger. However, the Turkish international failed to have an impact on the game and was suppressed by Barcelona's defenders.

Afterward, Ancelotti replaced Guerre after the first half and replaced Brahim Dias.
