September 12th Not long ago, Spicher, the director of Bern's Young People, was interviewed by Blick and talked about the deal to sell Atekame to Milan.
He said: "We have successfully achieved many of the established goals in the summer window. Our intention is to strengthen the core of the team, bring more stability, and bring in experienced players who have experienced in the league and have been in the leadership role. We also want to bring new rhythms to the team with some interesting young players. Overall, we are satisfied."
"We have been financially profitable and self-sufficient since 2017. We have been forever grateful to the Rihs family who supported the club during difficult times, but we will never need any support from them since then."
"The sale of Atkame is not a decisive factor in our financial situation. We had hoped to keep him for a while, but the market dynamics behind some transfers could not be stopped."
