It is reported that Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Dalius Garland must undergo surgery amid the constant rumors of NBA trade.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are preparing for the offseason, and there are rumors that the team may trade Dalius Garland. However, against the backdrop of constant rumors, the Cavaliers’ star point guard recently underwent surgery.

On Monday, the Cavaliers announced that the 25-year-old point guard's toe surgery was successful. Dalius Garland is said to take four to five months to recover. But he should be fully recovered and ready for training camp.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Dalius Garland successfully underwent a big toe injury repair surgery today. The surgery was performed by Dr. Nicholas Strather of Vanderbilt University Medical Center and was jointly diagnosed and treated by Cavaliers Dr. James Rosneck (Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine Center) and Dr. Bob Anderson (Otho Carolina). After about 4-5 months of treatment and recovery, his condition will be updated in due course. Garland is expected to fully recover and resume basketball activities before training camp begins.

There have been rumors that the Cleveland Cavaliers may trade Dalius Garland in the offseason. However, according to insider Brett Segal, the Cavaliers plan to maintain the integrity of the core of the lineup in the future. Despite the disappointment of early exits in the playoffs, the Cavaliers seem to believe that if there were no injuries at the end of the season, the team would have had a chance to go further.

If Siegel's statement is true, then Dalius Garland will stay and fight alongside Donovan Mitchell. Garland once again proved himself a dominant point guard who contributed solid statistics to the Cavaliers before his first round of the NBA playoffs.

During the regular season, Garland averaged 20.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game, shooting as high as 47.2% from the field and 40.1% from three-pointers.
