May 18th Manchester City lost to Crystal Palace 0-1 in the FA Cup final last night, while English legend Alan Hiller commented on Haaland's giving up the penalty kick.
"The decision made by Haaland is really too important. He doesn't want to punish him. I think since Haaland can start in the FA Cup final, it means he doesn't have any physical problems. So either he doesn't want to punish him, or Guardiola told him not to punish him. But no matter what, this incident is indeed surprising."
"Scoring this penalty can help the team equalize the score. If I were Haaland, as the team's top scorer, and as a center who can score 30 goals in a single season, I would definitely not The one who gave up the penalty kick, not to mention that this is the FA Cup final. I have never seen other teams' top cards do this like Haaland."
Rooney said: "Haland is the world's top striker, and if it were Messi and Ronaldo, they would never give up the penalty in this situation, because they hope they can score goals in every game."
Guardiola said when talking about this after the game: "I don't know the specific details and haven't talked about it with them yet, but usually, the players decide whether to take the penalty kick."
