Hupu August 1st News Christian Falk, editor-in-chief of German Media Photo News, updated the situation of Walter Mad in the BayernInsider podcast.
"Both Manchester United and Newcastle United have both put Nick Walter Mad on their shortlist. However, the Stuttgart striker remains focused on Bayern Munich.
He does not want to leave the Bundesliga at the moment. On Wednesday, Bayern senior officials held a meeting discussing how to bring in Walter Mad during the transfer window.
Two offers have been rejected - one for 40 million euros (34.5 million pounds) plus 5 million euros , the other is €50 million (£43.2 million) plus €5 million.
Now they have decided to continue their plans because they don't want to raise their offer. They hope Stuttgart will return to the negotiating table because it is already a considerable amount for the club, and they can't guarantee that other clubs will be willing to pay the fee next year.
So, this is a strategy for Bayern to put pressure on Stuttgart."
