Marca: Due to standards issues, Rayo Vallecano uses two sizes in La Liga and European competitions

According to Marca on October 27, due to relevant standard issues, the area of Vallecas Stadium in Rayo Vallecano will be larger in La Liga games than in European wars.
The dimensions of the Vallecas Stadium are almost the same as in past seasons in La Liga, with both goals moved back by about half a meter, keeping the length of the pitch at around 100 meters. However, in terms of width, there will be significant differences between La Liga matches and UEFA Europa League matches.
UEFA requires Rayo Vallecano to reduce the size of the stadium to ensure a safe distance between the spectator stands and the pitch. The Vallecas Stadium will therefore have two different widths: one for La Liga matches and the other for UEFA Europa League matches.
In La Liga matches, the width of the Vallecas Stadium is 66.6 meters, while in UEFA Europa League matches, the width of the stadium will be approximately 64 meters. When La Liga matches are held, the stadium will return to its original size.
