18-year-old Jesse Sneider, who plays as an offensive midfielder, signed his first professional contract on Monday, valid until 2028 and includes the option to renew his contract for one year.
He joined the Utrecht Youth Team in 2022. He played for the U19 echelon last season, and next he will represent Utrecht II in the Dutch League.
For his son signing a professional contract, Sneijder expressed congratulations on social media: "Your persistence and will have been rewarded. This is just the beginning. Good luck, my son, I love you!"
Jesse Sneijder said after signing the contract: "This is a dream come true. Since I came to the Utrecht Youth Training Academy, I have been working hard for this moment. Signing the first professional contract is a reward, but it is also the beginning of a new stage.
