Old player: Kane is not outstanding in that Tottori youth team, but his mentality is second to none

May 15th Spurs former player Steven Caulke talked about Kane in an interview recently, saying that Kane's success mainly comes from his mentality.
Calke said: "I think Harry Kane is not the best player in our youth team. In fact, I wouldn't even put him in the top five. The Hot Tattoo Academy has trained a large number of young talents in just a few years, Walker, Kyle Norton, Danny Rose, Townsend, Mason, Adam Smith, Jack Livermore, Tom Carroll, Prichard, Bentalaib, etc. We all ended up in the Premier League.
"There are many other talented players who continue to play at different professional levels. Kane is one year lower than me, and to be honest, I didn't think there was anything particularly outstanding about him at that time. But what impressed me was his mentality, which was second to none. Kane was frequently rented out in those years and once left Tottenham.
"But in the end Kane achieved incredible achievements and surpassed all of us. The only player in his class was Walker. Tottenham spent a lot of money on Walker when he was young (5.9 million euros in 2009). What does this mean? Life is not a sprint. Some of us are outstanding, but if he doesn't have the right mentality, he will be surpassed soon. Beautiful Harry, everything you have achieved is amazing now."
