On July 1, a lot of news came from the transfer market in the Premier League summer window. Among them, Arsenal is rumored to be preparing to compete with his city rival Tottenham for Crystal Palace this summer. In addition, England international Watkins is watched by Manchester United, Tottenham is very interested in West Ham's Kudus, and Brazilian striker Richarlison has been allowed to leave Tottenham.
Arsenal competes with Tottenham Eze
According to the Guardian, Arsenal is preparing to compete with Tottenham for Eze's signing. Arteta hopes to add creativity and midfield depth to Arsenal’s roster, with club management meeting with Eze’s agent on Saturday to discuss personal terms and other details, but has not yet negotiated with Crystal Palace on the transfer of the England international.
The Guardian added: "Ezer was terminated by Arsenal at the age of 13 and is believed to have a £67.5 million termination clause in his contract, which lasts until 2027, and Crystal Palace has insisted that he will leave only if the clause is met. Spurs have long been interested in Ezer and have discussed whether to make him the iconic signing of new coach Thomas Frank. Whether to submit a formal offer may depend on whether Crystal Palace is willing to accept offers below its termination clause, but it seems unlikely at the moment."
Watkins is shortlisted for Manchester United
According to the Sports News, if Hoylund leaves the club, Manchester United has included Aston Villa's Watkins on their striker's shortlist. Manchester United executives are said to have contacted Aston Villa's peers through the intermediary to explore their transfer options.
The Sports added: "Manchester United and Aston Villa mentioned Watkins in a conversation with Rashford at the end of last season. Although Villa had the option to buy Rashford for £40 million, the two clubs discussed it. In the end, Rashford's desire to join Barcelona, which made this possibility absent. Manchester United's current energy is focused on reaching a Mbeoumo deal with Brentford and then pushing for the necessary sales to free up more funds. Behind the scenes, they are also evaluating the forward market, including Watkins."
Tottenham follow Kudus
According to the Daily Telegraph, Tottenham is willing to make Kudus the first player to transfer directly from his opponent West Ham in more than 10 years. Tottenham is said to be optimistic about signing Kudus for a price below its £85 million termination clause, which lasts until the first 10 days of July. Sources told the Telegraph that Kudus is more likely to transfer to Tottenham than Mbeumo, Anthony Semeno and Eze.
The Daily Telegraph added: "West Ham is willing to sell 24-year-old Kudus to help with summer rebuilding led by head coach Graham Porter, who is considered open to the other end of London. Joining Tottenham will make Kudus the first player to transfer directly from West Ham since midfielder Scott Parker in 2011. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levi stopped Emmanuel Adebayo from joining West Ham four years later, handing over from Parker Since Easy, the two clubs have not made any deals.
Richarlisson has been allowed to leave
According to the Sun, new Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has approved Brazilian striker Richarlisson to leave this summer. Richarlisson appears to be moving overseas. Everton has been in contact with him, but it seems that the Toffees will focus on other goals.
The Sun added: "The Toffees are believed to focus on other goals as they look forward to their life in the new stadium.
"Newcastle United's Callum Wilson is seen as a replacement for the outgoing Dominic Calvert-Lewin in their field of vision. Moyes also believes that forward Beto can become an important player for him next season."
