Quzhou team won a good start

This newspaper (reporter Wang Hongling) On August 29, the 2025 Zhejiang Youth Football (Men's Group A) Championship started at the Quzhou Sports Center. 11 teams from 11 cities and cities across the province participated in the competition, with a 9-day period.

On the first day of the game, Quzhou Youth Men's Group A Football Team (hereinafter referred to as "Quzhou Team") competed against Lishui Youth Men's Group A Football Team (hereinafter referred to as "Lishui Team"). The Quzhou team performed well, defeating Lishui team 2:0 and getting a good start. During the

game, Tong Lei, a star from Qu and a player from Zhejiang Professional Football Club, appeared on the court to cheer for the Quzhou team. Tong Lei won the National U18 Championship with the team, was selected for the U19 National Youth Team and the 2019 National Olympic Team training roster, and has appeared in international arenas many times as a national player.

Quzhou fans' support team also cheered outside the court. Citizen Mao Fangzhen is the mother of Quzhou player Zheng Guohao. She told reporters that most of the players of this U15 Quzhou co-construction echelon are from Quzhou. In the past 10 years, their support teams have witnessed the team's growth and progress.

In recent years, Quzhou youth football career has developed rapidly. In 2023, the Municipal Sports Bureau, Kecheng District Government and Zhejiang Professional Football Club jointly established the Zhejiang Professional Football Club Quzhou Co-building Team. In the past two years of team formation, Quzhou has won many championships in various youth competitions at home and abroad. In July this year, Quzhou won three national youth competition championships by jointly building the U12 echelon team. Next, Quzhou will jointly build U12 echelons and will go to Japan to meet the challenge of the "U12 Club World Cup"; the new U9 echelon will soon complete the first phase of the team formation.

"This event is the test match of the 18th Zhejiang Sports Games in 2026. While testing the venue, it aims to select a group of outstanding youth football team talents to reserve football talents for next year's 18th Provincial Games." Quzhou team coach Lin Qiang said.
