British media reported that Tottenham president Levi fired head coach Post Koglu two weeks after the club won the UEFA Europa League this season, causing dissatisfaction among players.
It is understood that Tottenham chief football officer Scott Moon is one of Postkoglu's biggest supporters within Tottenham, but he has also been fired by club chairman Levi.
Postkoglu's departure has angered many Tottenham players, and sources say some want to leave the club because of this. "The players are very angry about what happened and how they were handled. The next head coach will take over a difficult situation," one source said.
Brentford coach Thomas Frank is seen as one of the main candidates to replace Post Koglu. Fulham coach Marco Silva and Bournemouth coach Ilaura are also considered, although Tottenham fans support the return of current U.S. national team coach Pochettino. But it is understood that Tottenham executives did not make any contact with Pochettino on Friday night.
Former club general manager Paratic is expected to return to Tottenham as a full-time position and has been a consultant to Levi.
