September 14 TheAthletic reported that West Ham returned the wooden bench that Kudus used to celebrate before to the player.
On the weekend, 25-year-old Kudus visited his old club West Ham with his new club, and he just transferred to the Hammers this summer and was booed by the home team fans. After the match, Kudus had a brief exchange with West Ham staff. Near the home stand area, he received his wooden bench and sincerely thanked him.
According to reports, Kudus has used this iconic celebration move in 2024, and he will sit on this elephant-shaped wooden bench after scoring the goal.
Kudus previously said in an interview with West Ham official media: "This is a special stool from Ghana. I see a lot of competitors and people imitate celebration moves, so I thought 'Why not do something different? '"
"This represents my roots. In my hometown, the chief and the king will sit on stools that symbolize their origins. So I want to share some of the life in my hometown that will make a lot of sense."
"You know that many people are sitting on advertising boards now, which has triggered a lot of discussion. But this is my exclusive action and others cannot imitate!"
