Season 17! Curry still believes that he can play at the top and may perform amazingly next season

10:36am, 12 September 2025Basketball

On September 11, Curry talked about next season on the Today Show: "Next season is my 17th season. I really believe that I can still perform at the peak and win in higher-level (playoffs)."

In the past 2024-25 season, Curry played 70 regular season games, averaging 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6 assists per game, of which the three-point shooting percentage was 39.8%, and an average of 4.4 3-pointers per game.

Judging from the regular season three-point output, Curry hit 311, ranking third in the league. The top two are Mark Beasley (319, 82 games), and Edwards (320, 79 games).

Considering that Curry only played 70 games, he is still the "real" three-pointer king.

Although Curry is 37 years old, Lao Liu still believes that his data will be better next season. This is not blindness, but scientific basis.

1. Curry and Butler have reached 100%

Butler joined the Warriors halfway last season. Kuba cooperated with 28 regular season games, achieving 22 wins and 6 losses. During this period, Curry averaged 27.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game, and his three-point shooting percentage was 41%.

With the extra core of Butler, Curry doesn't always have to pick 5 at 1. The game is more efficient and consumes less load, so his body will maintain a long-term health.

After half a season of running-in, Curry and Butler have completed the running-in. Curry will only play easier next season, and the data will be better.

2. The Warriors' strong signings

Horford has officially announced his joining. This 39-year-old man is a space-based center. In his three seasons with the Celtics, he can shoot nearly 40% of his three-point shooting percentage. His arrival can help the team open up space, and instead allow Curry to gain space for foreign investment and ability.

In addition, after Kumingga's contract is resolved, Ses Curry, Melton and Brogden will most likely join the Warriors, and they are all good at three-pointers. At the same time, Melton and Brogden can attack with the ball and defend. With such a strong backcourt substitute, Curry will get enough rest and don't have to fight for more than 35 minutes in each game.

Good load control is very necessary for 37-year-old Curry.

So, let's look forward to Curry's performance in "rejuvenation" next season.
