On May 26, Wilko Martinez-Cachero, founder of the NBA draft prediction website Floor and Ceiling, revealed on social media that Chinese star Yang Hansen may enter the top 10-15 pick in the next mock draft list, becoming one of the biggest dark horses in the 2025 draft.

This prediction undoubtedly injected a shot of a heart-warming shot into Chinese basketball.

Previously, Yang Hansen soared to the 20th pick in the NBA Draft Room mock draft list, and now Floor and Ceiling's prediction is even bolder - the top 10-15 pick! If it comes true, he will surpass Zhou Qi (43rd pick in 2016) and become the third highest draft pick in the history of the Chinese men's basketball team, second only to Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian.

On April 23, his draft rankings climbed all the way to the top 20, which was amazing. In the mock draft list after the joint trial, although the rankings given by some media are different, such as the well-known US media Bleacher Report, which ranked it in the second round, overall, Yang Hansen's draft market is on an upward trend.

Wilko Martinez - Cachero's evaluation of Yang Hansen is also very pertinent. He praised Yang Hansen for his unique dribbling, passing and scoring skills, outstanding performance on the court over the past two years and good durability.

However, he also pointed out some of Yang Hansen's shortcomings. Due to the lack of speed and jumping power, Yang Hansen has certain restrictions on defense, and the team needs to provide him with help on the defensive end. Although Yang Hansen's defensive video looks unsatisfactory, his blocking rate reaches 7.1, which shows that he has good potential in frame protection.

In addition, rebounding ability is also a part that Yang Hansen needs to focus on improving.

In the CBA field this season, Yang Hansen averaged 16.6 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2.6 blocks per game, with solid and steady low-level offense, shooting percentage as high as 59.5%, and had an excellent passing skill of 3.4 times per game, which revitalized the team's offense, and was affectionately called the "Chinese version of Jokic" by fans.

Now, Yang Hansen's draft prospects are bright. But he still has a long way to go to really gain a foothold in the NBA.

However, with his talent and continuous efforts, I believe that he will surely shine his own light in the future NBA arena, and we also look forward to this young Chinese player bringing us more surprises.
