September 1st Nottingham Forest lost to West Ham 0-3 at home in this round of Premier League. After the game, Forest coach Nuno accepted an interview with the media.
Nuno admitted that the loss would not help his established meeting with club owner Marinakis next week. Forest failed to defeat West Ham, coached by Porter, and the away team came with a rigorous game plan and took away the victory with three goals in the last 7 minutes of the game. Asked if this was the most disappointing day since coaching the Forest, Nuno told reporters: "It's hard to judge in detail, but as the head coach, it's really a bad day. I'm very upset, really very upset. Everyone is very upset, the players are, and the fans are so." Nuno was originally scheduled to hold talks with Marinakis after the transfer window was closed. The meeting plan originated from the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace last weekend, when Nuno claimed in a press conference that his relationship with Marinakis "has changed." Marinakis then publicly stated that his relationship with Nuno was solid and stressed that Nuno was still the right person to lead the forest.
But when asked whether today's performance would change the atmosphere of the meeting, Nuno responded: "Of course there is no positive impact. But the club is very frustrated, but the two things are not directly related. We will treat them differently and move in the right direction."
Nuno expressed dissatisfaction with the club's recruitment work and has spent more than 160 million pounds to sign eight players this summer, but most new players failed to participate in pre-season preparations in time. The conflict behind him with global football director Edu has also been made public.
Talking about the performance of this game, Nuno said: "We dominated and controlled in the first half. Although we occasionally lacked a sense of urgency, we were able to control the overall situation. The second half was completely different and we began to expose gaps. This was very frustrating. We started a good start this season and had expectations for this game. We should do better. Our duty is to find the root cause of the problem and make sure we don't repeat it, because today is really bad."
