August 21 According to the "As" report, Real Madrid will receive a share of the transaction from Miguel Gutierrez to Naples, and this summer Real Madrid has brought more than 29.5 million euros in revenue through player transfer share.
When the youth training camp does not directly deliver talents to the first team, it becomes Real Madrid's vault. This time, the club's economy once again benefited from this strategy. Miguel Gutierrez, 24, is about to transfer from Girona to Naples, a deal that will bring considerable revenue to Real Madrid. It is estimated that the transfer fee will reach €18 million (and floating terms), of which €7 million will be owned by Real Madrid.
This 50% ownership retention policy is a strategy implemented by Real Madrid in recent years, ensuring that the club does not completely lose talented players from the youth training camp. For new clubs that receive players, transfer costs can be reduced in the short term. For Real Madrid, it is a useful tool in the long run, which can either buy back players at a low price (such as Fran Garcia returns for only 5 million euros) or gain profits when other clubs are interested in players.
In 2022, Miguel Gutierrez joined Girona for 4 million euros. Three years later, he will transfer to Serie A for 18 million euros. Half of the value-added part of the 14 million euros belongs to Real Madrid.
Add to the deal of Xavi Hernandez's transfer from Leganes to Qatar's Arabi SC, Real Madrid will also earn additional revenue. The defender left the team for €3 million, but the first year was on loan, and the transfer fee will increase by about €1 million per season after that. In the end, 50% of the total amount Leganes earns will be owned by Real Madrid.
Plus 7 million euros brought by Miguel Gutierrez and 1.5 million euros fixed by Xavi Hernandez, the youth training players have already brought more than 29.5 million euros to Real Madrid this summer. The funding will help support Real Madrid's big investment in the summer transfer window, which has already spent €178 million to strengthen the team's roster.
